Frost Industries, located in the James Conly Center on Greenwood Road in Shreveport, Louisiana, is the Employment Division of The Arc Caddo-Bossier and is continually seeking new ways to provide meaningful employment for citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Frost Industries developed Conly Kitchen by serving light breakfasts to people participating in the program at the James Conly Center. In recent years, it has grown to become an exciting new business opportunity providing jobs as well as needed products and services. Conly Kitchen serves breakfast and lunch at the Conly Center and is now catering and delivering meals, party sandwiches, and specialty desserts to area businesses.

Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana, and the Louisiana State Office Building in Shreveport, Louisiana are our largest custodial contracts. Frost manufactures heating and air conditioning filters and Snake Snare products, provides commercial linen services for Physicians Behavioral Hospital, Orthopedic Specialists of Louisiana, Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home, Lake Bistineau State Park, and Barksdale Air Force Base. Frost also provides lawn services for the Church of the Holy Cross, and the State of Louisiana Weigh Station located in Greenwood.
The James Conly Plant is home to Frost Industries and a work activity center, licensed by the state of Louisiana to provide part-time employment, employment related training, and productive activities to adult citizens with disabilities.
Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are 18 years of age or older may apply for part-time employment, training, and other services at the James Conly Center. The staff client ratio is one to eight or less. Staff includes certified medication administration attendants, trained First Aid staff, Qualified Developmental Disability Professionals, an activity coordinator, instructors, and supervisors.
The James Conly Center serves approximately 200 clients. The center offers a variety of activities which are generated by client abilities and skills. Work including specialized assembly, arts and crafts, social outings, weekly movies, and monthly celebrations are just some of the activities.
In the nurturing environment of the James Conly Center, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities learn new skills, have social exchanges, and are assisted in maintaining their acquired skills.
