Marketing Coordinator

Position Function:

To provide administrative support to the Development Department.  To assist in the development and implementation of creative plans for public relations, publicity and marketing for The Arc Caddo-Bossier which enhance the community’s awareness of our mission, achievements, services and core values.   To assist in the development and implementation of creative plans for fundraising initiatives and special events which are planned by The Arc Caddo-Bossier and The Foundation of The Arc Caddo-Bossier. To provide administrative support. 

 Prerequisites:

  1. Mission Driven, Communication Proficiency, Organizational Skills, Time Management, Technical Capacity,
    Customer/Client Focus

Supervisory Responsibilities - None

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study such as Marketing, Business or Public Relations and (2) two to (3) three years of experience in fundraising with multiple concurrent projects.
  2. An equivalent combination of experience and training may substitute for a
    Bachelor’s degree.

 

Specific Duties:

1. Advanced proficiency in use of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Publisher and Access) as well as other database information systems related to marketing and development management. (Blackbaud)
2. Assists with daily operation of the Development Department, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
3. Hands-on involvement in a variety of marketing logistics, including event planning and coordination.
4. Responsible for tracking all invoices and expenses against budget.
5. Reporting regularly to Director of Development.
6. Responsible for managing in-house inventory.
7. Contributes to the development of creative plans for special events designed in coordination with the Development Department, and participates in their implementation
8. Contributes to the development plans for fundraising initiatives in coordination with the Development Department and participates in their implementation
9. Contributes to the development of creative plans for marketing The Arc Caddo-Bossier in the community in coordination with the Development Department and participates in their implementation
10. Assists in publicity initiatives on behalf of The Arc Caddo-Bossier, and to coordinate them prior to release with the Director of Development
11. Assists in the development of a budget for the Development Department
12. Provides clear, current and correct communication and coordination of activities with the Director of Development
13. Serves in a leadership as well as a support role on the Development Team and other related teams as requested
14. Assists in the development and implementation of the Mission, Goals, Core Values, Annual Plan and
Long-range Plans for the Development Department
15. Updates fiscal records in a timely manner for the Development Department including budgets, required documentation of incurred expenses, donations and contributions
16. Assists with maintaining the agency’s website and social media including: Facebook, Twitter and Linked-in and/or work cooperatively with the agency’s marketing firm on social media outreach
17. Performs other duties as required by the Director of Development
